This review is purely for nostalgia's sake. When I was I kid, I was REALLY in to dinosaurs. And now, my younger self is happy. Although Jurassic World was technically the second Jurassic Park movie I've seen in theaters (I saw Jurassic Park in 3D), this was the first new Jurassic Park movie I've seen in theaters, and it wasn't disappointing. The film utilized animatronics very well, and they were extremely life like. They nailed (almost) everything about the movie. The only thing I don't like about it is, well, I don't know. There's literally nothing wrong with it in the big picture. The only thing they didn't nail is the T-Rex's trademark roar. You know, this one. It seems appropriate that that roar should have been in there. However, the thing they DID nail was the special effects. The CGI was very well done, and the little animatronics they had were amazing! They looked life-like, and that proves that animatronics can be as life-like as CGI. Chris Pratt was fantastic and Bryce Dallas Howard was really good, too. The kids, they were great! Also, I felt a lot of nostalgia when the kids found the old park, and the banner from the first movie lying on the ground. Pretty much everything about it was awesome, but the product placement must have been a running gage, or something. I mean, let's look at a scene (no spoilers). Claire (Bryce Howard) drives up to Owen's hut-thing in a Mercades-Benz, Owen (Chris Pratt) is working on a triumph, and drinking a bottle of Coke. All in one scene. But now, I'm just nit-picking. Now, let's talk about the ending (obviously, spoilers). The final scene with the Indominus fighting the raptors was actually kind of sad. They kept killing off the raptors! Then, Claire and one of the control room technicians let the Tyrannosaurus loose to fight the Indominus. Moth dinosaurs kept going after each others necks just like the T-Rex and Spinosaurus in Jurassic Park 3. Then, Blue (the alpha velociraptor) came out of the smoke and saved the T-Rex from being annihilated by the Indominus. With the raptor distracting the Indominus, the T-Rex stands up and bites Indominus's neck. After the Tyrannosaurus and the Raptor have Indominus cornered, the FREAKING MOSASAUR jumps out of its tank behind the Indominus and gets its jaws around the Indominus! It drags the Indominus into the water, drowning the it. Jurassic World is my favorite movie from recent years (the past decade). I also have to mention the score. It was really good! It was too bad John Williams couldn't come back and do the score. Overall, the movie was fantastic. Great acting, great special effects, and I actually god scared. The movie made me jump more than two times. Wow. It was overall a fantastic time, and if you go with an open mind, you'll have a fantastic time, it'll be fantastic.
So, it was pretty much an AWESOME movie! I LOVE IT! Wanna see my rating? You can check it out right here at Rotten Tomatoes. Thank you, and good night.
